Treaty authoring & wording
Cession rates, commission scales, limits and clauses captured as structured terms — not PDF prose — so the rest of the platform executes exactly what was signed.
Life & annuity reinsurance operations
TreatyWorks runs the full treaty lifecycle — authoring, cession accounts, claims, capital and close — and attaches the derivation chain to every figure it reports, so the evidence is already there when the number gets questioned.
What it runs
Cession rates, commission scales, limits and clauses captured as structured terms — not PDF prose — so the rest of the platform executes exactly what was signed.
Premium and claims bordereaux in; structure-aware net settlements out. Quota share, surplus, coinsurance, ModCo and funds-withheld arrangements — the asset-intensive structures included — each settle by their own arithmetic.
An economic-balance-sheet view of technical provisions and capital coverage, with the derivation behind each figure available to the actuary who has to stand by it.
Role-based workspaces, segregation of duties, and an append-only audit trail. Evidence exports are built for the reviewer on the other side of the table.
Why it holds up
Most platforms show you a number. TreatyWorks shows you the number, the journal it posted from, the bordereau row that fed it, and the treaty clause that authorised it.
Example lineage chain, illustrative: the reported figure (net due to reinsurer, 1,447,660) traces to GL journal 4010-Q2, which traces to claims bordereau C-2026-094 line 1,182, which traces to treaty QS-2024-018 terms section 6.2.
Who it serves
Where we operate
The regime the platform grew up in. Economic Balance Sheet technical provisions, BSCR-based capital coverage and a filing calendar are built in — and every figure carries its derivation, the evidence an auditor or the Approved Actuary will ask for when a BMA-regulated balance sheet is examined.
The operational core — structured treaties, ModCo and funds-withheld settlement, bordereaux, multi-currency close, cedent collaboration — is what asset-intensive life & annuity reinsurers run on, in any domicile. TreatyWorks does not currently provide CIMA capital calculations or return preparation; a CIMA filing-calendar catalogue, submission tagging and reserve-basis configuration are available per regulator.
Tenants are framework-configurable — submission catalogues exist for the UK (PRA), FINMA, APRA and NAIC regimes alongside the BMA, with a framework-scoped filing calendar behind them — so the operating layer travels first, and regime depth is added deliberately, not implied.
See it working
The demo environment runs a complete, fictional Bermuda-domiciled life reinsurer with US, UK and Japanese cedents — treaties, bordereaux, a close calendar and a capital position — so you can walk the whole cross-border lifecycle with realistic data and none of it real. Demo credentials are issued for arranged evaluation sessions.
